Bobby attended the Dutch National Film & Television Academy (NFTA) & the American Film Institute Conservatory (AFI) in Hollywood. In 2011 he made his directorial feature film debut with the thriller "Claustrofobia".

In 2012, he co-founded Dutch production company 2CFILM. Together with former Stage Entertainment's Robin de Levita, former Sony Pictures Television Europe President Kees Abrahams & Producer Edvard van 't Wout.

2CFILM is part of Imagination, a global media content company. Under this new banner he directed the feature film "APP". The 1st film in the world to use a 2nd screen application inside a movie theatre. In 2013 he directed the gritty TV drama "ROFFA" for Dutch broadcaster Vara. About an ex-soccer hooligan fighting his way back into society. In 2014 he directed the hugely popular TV series New Neighbors for RTL4. Based on the famous thriller-novel by Saskia Noort.
